.....about twice a month for a 3 or 4 day weekend

was the purpose of your trip (recreation / work related
/ other)?
we go there to play ...drink some Cerveza and
Margaritas...have some great Mexican food and fish...we
own a place in Rocky point in the Mirador beach area.

usually the two of us ....sometimes we bring friends
and family

did the vehicle handle the trip?
great no problems at all

were the road conditions? Any specific areas to be
aware of?
roads
are great all the way from Phoenix to the border and
from the border to Rocky Point the roads are fine
....all the roads have been redone in the last few
years from the border to Rocky Point....watch your
speed and be safe dont drink and drive as you cross
the border and your trip will be great.... the road
is patroled by the Feredales more that it used to
be so be careful

Did
you have a good time?
We always have a great time in Puerto Penasco its
our second home and we love it,,,great people ...great
food and weather nice beaches great sunsets lots of
very good restraunts and taco stands ...for tacos
go to Chinos by the fish market during the day and
Chuys on the main street at night. |

Would
you drive to Mexico again?
driving is no problem in mexico be careful and have
mexican insurance

would you do differently next time?
stay longer if we could but we always have to get
back to work

What
words of advice do you have for others driving to
Mexico / or others who are driving to a particular
destination?
Obey the laws they are very similar to the US ....dont
leave your brain at the border ...dont be an ass in
mexico and treat the people there like you want to
be treated ...you will find they are very nice ....dont
be a cheap skate ....tip waiters and witresses like
you do here in the US most are working for tips only
and you will see things are not all that cheap for
them just because its mexico.

were some of the highlights of the trip? We would

so many to mention .....great beaches ....great
sunsets ....very good restraunts .....Mannys .. Pink
Cadillac..Latitude 31...Jrs Barbecue...Black Dog a local
hang out...The Friendly Dolphin ...Lilys ....The Light
house at sunset.... Aqui es con Flavio all are good
restraunts .....fun stuff... para sailing ....riding
the banana towed beHind a boat ....sunset cruise with
belly dancers for entertainment.....fishing trips ....day
trip on tour boat to bird island ....vendors on the
beach selling their stuff driving rented ATVs and GolfCarts
around town...a cold mexican cerveza with friends ....a
fire on a cool night ...tequilla shots ...Kareoke with
Pablo at Mannys beach club.....and theres lots more
to do and explore. |

Lots of good places ...Best Western Playa Inn....Plaza
Las Glorias hotel....Vina Del Mar hotel ...Playa Bonita
Hotel ....Loas Mar Hotel Lots of Rv places on the
beach and many beach front condods to rent.

other comments...feel free to ramble!
Mexico is a great place to see visit and have
fun ....respect thier rules and customs dont drink
to much and if you do dont drive ....Dont Litter I
see Americans throwing trash and beer bottles along
the roads all the time have some respect for their
land ...learn some spanish its fun to try and converse
everyone will usually get a good laugh....you will
find that if you act like a responsible person you
will never have any problems in Rocky Point ....its
the drunk high school and college kids that get into
trouble along with a few drunk adults my experience
is the locals are pretty tollerent even during spring
break but sometimes the party gets out of hand and
goes too far and then the news reports the problems
....but you will find that there is no reason to worry
Rocky Point is a great place and they like the Tourists
there it drives thier economy
